Results indicated that the participants’ accuracy in the copying task was affected by the familiarity of the characters and the number of strokes of the characters. All the tests were conducted online during the pandemic in 2021. Their Chinese character reading abilities were also obtained using a character naming task. They were invited to participate in a delayed Chinese character copying task consisting of 32 characters. A total of 42 undergraduates were recruited. In the current study, the orthographic knowledge required for writing Chinese characters was assessed among participants with L1 Vietnamese background who learn Chinese as a foreign language. The need for sharing the best practice manuals, standard operating procedures and methodologies to favor further progress is accentuated. Available methodology and procedures are reviewed, while pointing out major technical and methodological advances in the field of forensic handwriting examination. Additionally, methodology for forensic examination of dynamic signatures is discussed. These factors are relevant to the examiner in the assessment of the probative value of the reported features. The need for further research about the influence of these parameters, as well as handwriting dynamics in general is highlighted. Other conditions such as the writer's posture and fatigue have been found to affect feature variation less severely. Some parameters, such as drug and alcohol abuse or medication, have very strong effects on handwriting and signature dynamics. The studied parameters include hardware-related issues, aging and the influence of time, as well as physical and mental states of the writer. The state of the art summarizes available knowledge, meant to assist the forensic practitioner in cases presenting extraordinary writing conditions. It provides a detailed and critical review of dynamic feature variations and circumstantial parameters affecting dynamic signatures. This article focuses on dynamic signatures and their features. Taking into account the variability of users’ motor skills during the design and evaluation of interactive systems is necessary to better understand their difficulties as well as to improve the ergonomics and the usability levels of tactile interaction. The analysis of the postures of the users’ wrists during interaction allowed to elucidate the relationship between the characteristics of the movements of older adults and their performances, particularly concerning the longer times needed for executing the gestures of interaction as well as the increased error rates of this group of users when compared to younger adults. In this framework, a special attention was given to the analysis of the movements of the user. To this study, we designed an interactive system consisted of tactile puzzle games and using drag-and-drop interaction for positioning the puzzle pieces into their corresponding targets. This thesis aims to study the interaction of older adults with touchscreens in order to identify usability issues on different devices and input modalities (smartphone and tablet, finger and stylus). However, the aging effects on the motor skills implied on tactile interaction haven’t been enough considered during the design and evaluation of tactile interactive systems, what prevent this group of older adult users to be digitally included successfully. Tablets and smartphones have become mainstream technologies.
